I have tried the netflix app in my sylvania 7" minitablet it works  but the tablet cant quite handle the video feed and it is quite choppy. the sound comes through well but the video freezes and skips. One thing that I did like was I did not have to enter a code as an external device like I did with the DVD player. It went right to my account the same as a computer would do.
